Nothing could be further than the truth. The writing is only a step above young adult fiction in language used, and contains several spelling errors. Reviews extolling the virtues of the story disappeared in the three days between my purchase and review.The book is in two parts portraying two girlfriends who fall in love with 1540 era Scottish clansmen. These clansmen were sworn to serve Druids who require the clansmen to hold Renaissance Fairs to earn money for the Druids. There is much intentional time traveling back and forth between modern day and ancient Scotland, by way of a Druid time travel app on a cell phone, along with traveling around from place to place in the same time period.Language from the Scottish characters give some token "ayes and nays" and some Scottish phrases, but in general the verbal exchanges were more modern.All in all, while action packed, pretty unbelievable, and not a prayer of being anywhere close to Outlander.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Great Read with Time Travel TwistBy bevleoI Read Tavish. Before Kilts. It really doesn't matter what order you read them. But Kilts gives a greater understanding about the Time Travel-The Curse- however, I really was hoping to find out How it all Started and Why After Kilts. It seemed a mAjor Victory for the McgRegor Clan. However in Tavish. He seems to be still Chained and bound to the Druids!!! They may not have complete control. Of him. But he was fearful of them. I hope the Next Book. Seimus. Will explain More of the Druid mystery. I really like the story. The Characters. It is a different spin to many time travel books. I believe that any one with a love if adventure and highland culture would enjoy these books!!
