Reading Diana's experience gave me faith in in gaining a full recovery of which I have. Being raised by a "health nut" dad (as his friends called him) made me realize my body needed all the help it could get in dealing with the dreaded cancer.I think I was directed to this book back in 2005 by my oncologist's nurse who met Diana a lectures at Loyola in Maywood, IL. I again looked for this book to help close friend who just recently was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I wanted her to have the support of Diana's cancer diet.Since that recent purchase of Diana's book my own sister has been diagnoised with breast cancer surprisingly the same breast affected as was mine. I will now purchase a few more copies one for my sister, her daughter, myself for future friends needs, and for a friend who looking over my copy was so impressed he requested one for himself.A great thanks to Diana for sharing her personal and professional knowledge for others experiencing this dreaded disease. Her diet is a sensible one to continue following for anyone wanting a healthy body.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.Nutrition Improves Cancer Survival for My Dad His FriendBy Alice BalandAs a dietitian and psychotherapist in private practice myself, my speciality is weight control, trauma and eating disorders. So when a friend of my dad's, and later my dad, were diagnosed with cancer (he survived throat cancer), I sent them copies of Diana's book, because that's her specialty. Plus I have a book for myself so that I can help my dad and other clients more. It's a great book with helpful information and healing recipes. He survived and is doing well. Thanks, Diana!
