She was formerly a sheltered young woman from a wealthy family with an overbearing grandmother who ruled the roost. Pru accepts the bet that she can't survive without the family's money so she answers an ad for a mail order bride and misleads the potential groom about her basic personality type. He wants quiet and demure and, in reality, she's aggressive and assertive to excess. And her initial sexual encounter is off-putting to me as she acts like a pro on her first time out. Also, she has no survival skills being sheltered but she's able to save herself from an abduction. I just didn't enjoy this character at all.
